3rd date lucky!

I think it goes without saying… Covid put 101 spanners in the works and effected everyone in their own personal way. For Mr + Mrs McMillan, it meant 3 Wedding dates. But boy, IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!

Firstly, hey there to anyone new to my Blog, I’m Emma, a Suffolk & Norfolk Wedding Photographer bringing your Wedding day to life for the years to come. I’m a people person and I love building friendships with my clients, in my opinion, it is the best way to get the most relaxed, natural and memorable Wedding photos as possible.

So, without further a-due, I’m ECSTATIC to share with you Mr + Mrs Macmillan’s Wedding day at the Suffolk Wedding Venue, Ivy House Country Hotel. I’ll begin with an image that really does sum up their personalities…

Mr + Mrs McMillan were married back in March and although it was early Spring in England, Mr Sunshine really pulled it out of the bag. Yet another reminder that you cannot trust the British weather. We got highs of 16 degrees in the sun and it was just perfect! (Especially for me running around like a looney, you definitely don’t want it 20+ degrees if you’re a Wedding Photographer! Good luck to me in Santorini later this year…)

Something that ‘cannot not’ be mentioned about this stunning Wedding day, is the gorgeous Florals and Decor by Charlotte Staff Flowers. Just take a look at a few highlights of how Ivy Hall was set up for the Wedding Breakfast…

When the Wedding was initially postponed back in 2022, one of the first turning points of the date changing, was when the rules would not allow Mrs McMillan to be walked down the aisle by her Dad. So seeing this image of the Father of the Bride proudly leading his daughter down the aisle in the Crooked Barn at Ivy House, is magical…

Throughout the day there was a real theme of HAVING FUN, not taking the day too seriously and just enjoying it. Which definitely reflects in the Wedding Party photos…

Mr + Mrs McMillan’s Wedding day was an honour to be a part of and one I enjoyed every minute of; from the Bruce Forsyth poses to the Golden Norfolk Broads Sunset.

I wish them both the biggest congratulations and best wishes in their future lives together!
